Why?

Not too long ago I realized a rather ironic fact: At this point I have traveled more internationally and met more people than I have within the United States (outside of my home town). This is especially ironic as a Soldier and Officer who has, ostentatiously, been serving and representing my country overseas for the last 5 years, about 3.5 of which have been overseas. During my time overseas I traveled a lot in Europe, Australia, and the Middle East, visiting over 30 countries and meeting lots of people.  About time to balance this out with some domestic travel!

So, this summer I am biking across America to get to know my country better.  I will be following this route.
